Hip Hip Hooray

The end is near. I love college way more than I like high school but i can't stay in one class to long or I start to lose interest. Therefore I am very happy to be moving on. And the closer I get the more I accomplish and my dreams and aspirations seem to be that much closer. I am so excited to get a month off break on my busy schedule. I'll still be working but school is my top priority and at least I get a break of that. Also I seem to fall apart in the last tee bits of the semester. So I am looking forward to a new/old beginning

What is your definition of life and where do you think it will take?
Me, personally I feel like my life begins when my adolescent life ends. I feel like this is a transition and I'm not yet woman but not quite a girl anymore. Most of it is just excitement and curious on what is yet to come.

I FEEL LIKE I AM GETTING CLOSER TO MY GOAL AND EVERY TIME I STOP TO THINK ABOUT IT I GET HAPPIER AND HAPPIER EACH TIME. LIFE IS GOING BY FAST AND I FEEL LIKE I AM REALLY CAPTURING THE MOMENT.
MY GOALS ARE TO GRADUATE A YEAR EARLY AND I THINK I JUST MIGHT DO THAT. I WANT BE OUT OF MY PARENTS HOUSE AT THE AGE OF 21. THEREFORE I CAN HAVE A BIG BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AND GRADUATION BASH. SO IT JUST FEELS LIKE EVERYTHING IS FALLING IN TO PLACE AND I'M REALLY EXCITED TO START A NEW LIFE.

The Inland Empire Grinch

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells. I just don't seem to be in the spirit. The holidays are not what they used to be. It's just a plot for all department stores and retailers do to get you to spend more money and develop more credit cards or debt. It's propaganda! The only people that will enjoy Christmas this year will be little kids if there parents can afford and the Billionaires maybe AIG will go on another retreat with our money, YEAH!. Or maybe I've grown out of the holiday charm to bad I'm not 5 anymore.

The little girl asked her mommy what will she get for Christmas and the mother replied a man with a suit on will come and pull you out your house and leave your toys behind. The little girl starts to cry and asks why would he do such a thing. The mother replies because he is foreclosure and that's his job. In order for him to put food on the table for his family he must take from our table.

Reaction

How many Americans voted this pass election? How many are excited? How many are disappointed? How many are shocked or overwhelmed? And if any of these questions pose or concern you WHY? Me myself, was very overwhelmed by the win. I felt as though I had won and I didn't think that it would be such a big deal to me maybe because i wasn't suspecting him to win. But it is a big accomplishment. Also if America is so free and righteous why now are we just now electing a black president after about two centuries of presidency and why are some people going against him because of his race and why are some following him because of his race. And what does this mean for the minorities of America especially the black race. For a awhile many black people have been using the race card and stating "The Man is Holding Us Down" but who is the man now ? For many of those that played the blame game and the race card what will you say now? Yes, there is racism in this world but I was never brought up to let that hold me back. I am black and a woman and i have never let stop me nor have I ever really consciously thought about it.
Hopefully as a people as a whole I hope that we can stop blaming others for our misfortune and for all people everywhere this should be a an example, if a black man can run for the president of the United States then there should be no reason for "The Man to Keep Us Down" anymore we need to get out there and take control of our futures!

Tear Drops

I am 19 years old and I just graduated from high school a year ago and already it seems to feel like "The Real World" is sinking in. Two weeks ago a guy by the name of Julius passed away on a drug overdose and this past weekend another guy that I knew by the name of Zeck passed away by gun fire. For people so young to be dying has really shaken me up. It feels awkward for people that you know to die especially if just saw them the other day and their so young to be gone. It feels weird or strange. Our parents shouldn't be planning our funerals, should be the other way around. All this is a little scary makes you wanna think and sit back and really appreciate life, not take it for granted. Tell the people you care about that you love them because you don't know if you'll be back. But to the families and friends of both of these boys you will be missed and never forgotten. You left when you were in your peak and at an age that was certainly to young to go.

The Race Amongst Races

With the presidency coming to a closed and election day just around the corner; who do you think is the better candidate and who do plan on voting for, honestly. With America having it's panties all twisted up in a knot and the economy is going down by the waist side, who will be more suitable for the job. Our the American people choosing the right candidate or as it become a choice between race. All people should take a good look at their candidate of choice and ask themselves if they are the right person for the job and if they really know the issues at hand. If you are a Republican look at both sides and if your a Democratic vice versa. This is not a time to be close minded . This election is very important, the futures of many and lives are at stake. And many of us who are young voters shouldn't just vote for the people that everyone else is choosing but we are young adults now a should actually read and follow into what these two political parties are saying, their different view points, and how it will affect us in the long run and now.
